From Annunciation I went to Anthony, Washburn, and the UoM. I stretched out my college years a bit by spending a year and half in Brazil – a sabbatical so-to-speak – learning life from a different angle. I married my younger sister’s best friend Barb Dean in August of ’81; some of you may remember the Dean girls on 54th and Girard, next door to the Staples. Barb graduated from Washburn the year after we did. We celebrated our 38th anniversary earlier this month; and we have 3 kids and 4 grandkids – awesome peeps! All live in Minneapolis/St. Paul which keeps us forever broke traveling back and forth. I am finishing out a career in supply chain management here in Albuquerque, NM and plan to retire in the months ahead. Minnesota is the Land of 10,000 Lakes - New Mexico is known as the Land of Enchantment (and 5 shades of brown)! My photo was taken at the Balloon Fiesta – an event we attend every year and is one of many curiosities and charms of New Mexico that Barb and I have come to love and enjoy. Looking forward to seeing you at the reunion where I hope to pick up where we left off – rekindling the friendships and looking back on those years of discovery and how we’ve navigated life’s journey since then. I look back at those years - the experiences and the friendships, with gratitude and a warm heart.
