I went to the U of M after high school at Regina, and then to Yale medical school. I became a rheumatologist, taking care of people with all kinds of arthritis and autoimmune diseases. I met my husband Rick in New Haven, and we've been married 35 years now. We have two grown kids, Matt, age 31, who lives in Boston working at Wayfair and is getting married in September, and Emily, age 28, who is a doctor in NYC and who got married last year.
My husband and I both retired about 9 years ago. We live in a small town on a lake in northeastern CT, where we like to swim, kayak, and paddleboard. We also spend a lot of time traveling, including to St Thomas, where we have a condo to escape much of the winter! I still do a little rheumatology, volunteering monthly at a free clinic run by Americares in CT.
